Oh wow, the mountain climb really sounds amazing, well done. I'd love to see some photos.
Have just seen the photo of your brother's band, quite scary are the words that come to mind!!!!
Snow?! What snow?! That's in Cornwall!! No snow here yet, just hail and rain so you just keep enjoying the sunshine so much nicer than miserable NE Eng!! xx
Not Long Now HiYa Clare
Well I said I would add a comment, just took a little more time than usual, as you would say, v busy. We v busy here getting things ready and wondering how to get all your things on the list in the cases and still have enough space so I can have some clothes so as not to look indecent, could be loin cloths for a fortnight! Good to hear universal plug is functioning, but don't want to say too much or will have to send back lifetime supply of said items after recent complaint. Knew about shortfall of 'mac in bag thingy' but didn't like to tell you, there are two choices stew in your own juices and be relatively dry or be absolutely waterlogged, sadly will not be taking this one up with the manufacturer. Well, enjoy Singapore and get those pictures of the Big Monkeys up on the blog.
See you Sunday.
Dad. X.

Oh no! No food and long time in plane make Clare a grumpy girl! ;-p
Nice to hear you are scaling mountains again - I suppose with all the experience you'll soon be whipping up the slopes again, passed the ghurkas on their mountain training courses. "What was that," they'll say, "was it a bird? Was it a plane?". "No numpties, it's me," the woman will scream. "And I've pinched your food too. Neh ne ne ne neh." :-)
Me x

Steamboat Hi Clare. I'm glad you enjoyed your steamboat grub.If you fancy another go at it when you get home, there's one sat in our kitchen! Take care. Geoff.
Now then private johnson!!! Out on recon in the jungle eh!! Bet Chris Ryan would be proud of ya! going out for essential supplies (chocolate etc) is the first basic rule of jungle surviving. Will send you that e mail tomorrow, got night shifts allweek as penance for my trip to portugal.
Hiya munchkin Yeah we got beat 2-0, had a man sent off (yet again) and we were truly awful, but we had a great night out in nottingham! was worth the trip just to go to Hooters bar! (i think they might be one in Bangkok clare!) just got back from Portugal so i'll send you a proper e mail later on in the week, once i've caught up. Glad your keeping (and eating) well.
About all of this FOOD. Hi Clare
Well I have to say we are getting a very comprehensive description of virtually every meal (including snacks), could the 'Steamboat' be something related to that thing that interested us in the Chinese in Manchester, but where were the ''Monkey's brains' ? The wooden hut looked great but a little compact and can you really have a Chinese temple in Malaysia ? however the photo explains all. Weather is wet here at the moment but very mild, spent yesterday converting the Pumpkin into soup, Richards kids will turn the carcass into a lantern and a fine object it will be. Promise to save at least a gallon (that's 4.55 litre in your money) of the soup for your return. Good shot of the Hornbill even if he is eyeing you a bit strange. Look forward to hearing all about KL in the next installment.
Speak soon.

Reading the tea leaves... Sorry, but that had to be the title - I wanna be a tea taster! Those towns in the Malaysian hills look great, though I can't believe you're moaning about the cold. What's going to happen when you get home?!
Take care,
Rob

Hi Claire,
Trust youto find all the lovely cakes. Sounds like you're having a great time. Think of us stuck here in real cold (2 degrees!) and on the LPC, which is quite boring!
Glad to see you are well. Miss you lots. Be careful of bird flu.
xxxxx
Living the Dream Looks like you're having an awesome time babe, may even put some of the places on my to visit list! I love strawberries and cake! Luv, C x
Oh my word..! You must have the most sore fingers in the world, Shakespeare. Glad to see you still love cakes and getting up at stupid o'clock - I think that will remain a staple throughout life! ;-) Keep smiling xx
Strawberries...hmmmm Hi clare, strawberry picking sounds good, as does all that tea, good to hear you're getting plenty of excercise to burn off those calories!! Thanks for your email the other day, will send u another one soon, take care! xxxxx
walking & talking. Well Clare..as usual you have managed to bring the place to life!! Although I am sure I saw a posting from your guide who was talking about this "English girl" who talked his ears off and ate the local villagers out of house and home!As for the strawberries...you left home too early..we've been harvesting some great ones for a few weeks now..I promise to pack the jam when we come out to Bali but its either blackcurrant or raspberry ..strawberries didn't get as far as the jam stage!!.
Hey Clare!
I'm sorry I haven't been in touch before now, but, I have only just fully recovered from the monster hangover I had after your going away party! I've been keeping upto date with everything you've been doing and we're all really glad to hear you're having such a great time. All in Woolton are thinking of you. Take care. Rick.
I graduated from the University of Manchester, UK, in 2005 having completed a 3 year Law degree. I had a great time being a student, but it made me realise that there is more to life than becoming a professional... so I thought a year off after Uni would be an ideal time to see a bit of the world, before I had to grow up and get a proper job! I had an amazing time thanks to many of the amazing people I met along the way.
There came a time, when professional studies were over, I HAD to get a proper job. This was fun, but only for 18months or so... before I set off on another adventure to We... full info
