WHEW! The "recipe" for making coca paste sounds awful! I also had no idea that Coca Cola still used coca leaves! Very interesting! It was a wonderful surprise to talk to you last night. I'm so glad you called. Do stay well and continue to have a wonderful time. Your Wawa Wasi kids are adorable! Love, Mom
Stay Healthy!!! Sounds like some of your fellow volunteers are having some problems with illness or injury. I'm glad you're okay! The parade sounded great. I haven't been able to get those pictures yet, but it might be my "state government computer" that's slow. You seem to be having a wonderful time and a fantastic experience. I'm so happy for you! Love, Mom
So glad to see that you had another entry when I turned on the computer this morning! Wow! You are having a wonderful adventure! You write beautifully - it would make a fascinating article! The photos are wonderful. It really is a different world. Ha! Told you you would need warm clothes for the llama trek! I hope the Diamox works well - or you get acclimated to the altitude quickly! I hope you day at the Wawa Wasi goes well. The children sound adorable. Can't wait for your next entry! Love, Mom
Very Cool Hey Christie,,,I have a question about an email you sent me last week...would you mind calling me when you are free??? ha ha ha ha ha Yeah, I'm a pretty funny guy. Your "blogs" are very cool. Sounds like very full days and hopefully that leads to great sleeping...... Everything is good here at PRS. Talk to you soon and stay safe.

Think you've figured out the blog thing I remember you talking about how much that one girl wrote, but seems like everything has been so eventful that it doesn't take much to fill up the page. Have fun!
Wow! Hey, Christie!
Sonds like you are having a great time. I'm glad to hear you made it OK - I have been thinking about you a lot. The pics are great and I'm glad you can have achance to see some of the sights while your there. It makes it even more worth it.
go girl sounds like lots of great adventure. Have you had time to sleep? Thinking about you and glad all seems well. Enjoy this coming up weekend and walk slowly in the altitude.
Enjoy---Tricia
Hurray Oops, bumped a key and it cut me off! So glad you're safely there and fascinated to read what you have been doing! I can't imagine you at a bull running - you probably wanted to go help the bull, right? Hee hee. The photos are great. I'm sure you were exhausted when you got there. Today, I guess is your first day at the Wawa Wasi. I can't wait to hear how it went. We just got back from Michigan a little while ago. You said your roommate was from Detroit. Tell her we were just in Waterford (near Pontiac). That's not too far from Detroit. Stay safe and have fun! Love, Mom
Glad You Are There! Hi Christie,
I think you should be a journalist in your next life. We enjoyed reading the blog and look forward to many more:) You are missing rain here in Maryland if that is somethng to miss!
Take care,
Alice
I was so excited to read your first entry. In the little time you have, you really covered a lot and made your experiences very interesting and the photos are great. Looking forward to more entries! Robin
Wow Christie,
Wow, it really puts things into perspective here when you see the things they have to do to survive. The schools, playgrounds, etc really make me want to cry for them. If I were there doing what you are, I don't know if I could be strong enough to not cry in front of them.
Anyway, hope you are having a great time, glad to see you got there safely.
Oh and by the way, they had to cancel the ground breaking ceremony because it is raining so hard outside..........so you didn't miss anything!!!!
Send me more stuff when you can....
Tina
great to hear from you I returned from a fun weekend with friends in Pennsylvania and ran directly upstairs to my computer to see if you had sumbitted anything yet. At that time you still hadn't, and I was so curious as to how everything was going. Thank you so much for the pictures and text on your trip so far. The pictures are great and really show what you are experiencing. I'm glad you are having a good and safe trip so far. Stay away from the bulls and the drunk men inticing them!!! Keep in touch and I look forward to your next message. Have fun---Tricia
Hello Hi Christie. Thanks for the update. Glad you made it there safely. You took some great pictures. The countryside looks beautiful. You'll have the experience of a lifetime while you are in Peru and will have the opportunity to touch many people. Keep all of us posted as to how you are doing.
Love,
Aunt Shelley
Hi Christie--I have been thinking about you a lot since your departure yesterday wondering how things were going at various times of the day and night. You must be exhausted at this point. I wonder if you will have the time to unwind before the work begins. Be careful and I too will be checking the page every day.
Good Luck Christie- We are praying for you to have a safe and wonderful trip. You are braver than I am. PLEASE be careful!! I look forward to getting updates and to talk to you when you get back!
Here you go C.
