Henna is so awesome! The palms are what is done traditionally in Moroccan culture. Plus the palms last ALOT longer than the top of the hand. The skin is thicker on the palm so helps hold the color. I hope all is well in the village. Looking forward to the fall weather as it is still quite hot here!! Hugs.
fascinating stuff The part about the babies makes me sooooooo sad, but guess it is their way of life - yikes !! Doesn't seem right. I got some Henna tatoes when I went out west a few years ago - why on the palms and not the tops of your hands or arms ?!?! It'll last longer that way. Anxiously awaiting your return - think the guys across the street are also !! Love, PSJ
Islam Absolutely Wonderful synopsis on Muslim beliefs and a strong reminder on the difference with radicals. One would need to believe that we could clearly coexist in this world. Thanks for sharing, Liz and Larry

I am so glad you were able to venture out today. Wow we think something from the 17 or 1800 is old, that is amazing. I know one day we will be going to Italy, hopefully sooner than later. Hope you have aggod day tomorrow in placement.

Very interesting. It is really to bad that islam gets a bad wrap. It sounds like a beatiful religion. So does that mean you have to learn arabic to read the Quar'an?
first of all Kenny either misses you or says hi to the kitties because he jumped into my bed and laid down and was staring at the screen. Those bananas look REALLY good. You should have picked some and brought it home for us!!! The fertility thing.... I think that another kid in the house would be AWESOME!!!! Those Chellah ruins look really cool and I agree we should go to Italy some time to see some more. I guess bye for now and I look foward to reading your next blog!!! I love and miss you mommy :)

I absolutely love the way you are capturing your trip, as one can really get a feel for your experience. I will admit though, not in a hundred years would you get me to do the same travel as you have. Stay safe, and I look forward to additional posts. Larry
What a journey! Wow - your trip back certainly did not go as planned - at least no "bus from hell"! Sounds like it was exciting! It is about 10:30 pm here, so hopefully at 2:30 am there, you are sound asleep resting up for your next week! Have fun.
Love, Mom
Fantastic Photos! Your photos and descriptions have been phenomenal. The food looks delicious, but complicated and time consuming to make. How does it taste? You know me and heat - I can totally sympathize with your bus trip. Ina's description is good! The decorative rooms at the place you stayed are SO different from anything we're used to. Great job! Have you ever considered being a travel writer?
Love, Mom
Hey babe, what an experience that was. Im so proud of you that you guys kept it together. I am glad you your tickets were no good and you did not have to take the bus from hell. I would have to say your day was worse than mine. I cant wait to talk to you tomorrow.

What a beautiful town, i love the blues. I can now put a picture to the bed you were describing, you must have felt like princess. I bet you were glad to get to that second room. Pictures are awesome.
Love ya

LOL mike! I saw it myself so I know but other places it is likely goat or lamb is also popular. They really like using the whole chicken and its not chicken like our plumped up Perdue chickens -- skinnier with they never take the skin off. I don't like that part!
Mmmm, that looks good, im getting hungry. I bet you are getting excited about your weekend, it sounds like alot of fun. I wish I was going with you.
Miss you and love you.
:) I miss you mommy! I can't wait for you to get home so i can come over and hang out with alexandra and you can tell me all about it! :) I know alex misses you alot. Have fun. Miss you
Hey honey, another great blog today. I feel like I am there with you the way you are describing it. I cant get over the amount of clothes they put on those babies, that crazy. I look forward to our skyping tomorrow.
Love you.
good job Thanks so much for keeping us posted and I agree with Alexandra - think about photogrpahy, if you decide to give up PRS - talkd to the gang across the way - Woody said they're doing fine - told him I'd help with anything BUT cooking (mine could kill 'em all !!!) . .. . . . .take care and thanks again keeping us posted.
Hi Christie, I anxiously look forward to reading about your day's activities every afternoon. Your photography and your writing skills are both top notch. It is a shame that you can't get any photos at all of these little ones. Helping out with the babies is exactly where I would want to be as well. I can understand how much you love it.
Do try to keep well and rested. Looking forward to future additions to your blog. Robin
