WOW !!! What an experience you have both had. You really made the most of your time away and we think you did it just right and hope to emulate most (if not all!) of it. Really looking forward to all getting together either here in Dorset or in Biggin Hill. Hope the return to 'normality' is not too painful. Glad you're back safe and well - love to you both.
Welcome Home What has happened to the blog? As you said it seemed to crash but following your latest addition it not only seems to have been recovered but also includes one or two entries we've not seen before.
Anyway we are very pleased you are back safe and well. The last bit of your journey looked great what with the visit to the lakes and bay watch boating.
Glad to see from the picture of the grizzly that you figured out how to use the repellent.
Will be very interested to see your future blogs and catch up on all the wild life news and travel escapades in and around Biggin Hill. No doubt a visit to the fish counter in Tesco will bring back fond memories of swimming with dolphins.
comp WOW the view looks awesome!
Well there is a yeti holding a big snow ball?? or do you mean the Arctocephalus forsteri commonly known as the newzeland fur seal pretending to be a rock, amazing what you find on google.
Franz Josef Glacier and scenery look fantastic ~ bit worried about the photo of the bearded guy with shades, is that Franz Josef? Suspicious looking cove!!
All sounds fantastic Mel, just making us all very envious and unsettled. Sounds as though you keep getting upgraded what with Big Bertha, helicopter rides etc. Must be someones good looks and charm!!
Can't wait for next instalment.
Gosh what a big one Bertha looks great and probably ideal for the colder or wetter climate if you need to get warmed up.
As ever the pictures look excellent and the Antarctic Centre at Christchurch must have been fun. The frosty environment reminds me of the time I asked Fra whether she would like a soft drink instead of a glass of wine.
I have sent your comments re West Ham and Man U to the Guiness Book of Records as this is the greatest distance from which anyone has ever taken the p**s out of my support of Man U.
Don't get too excited over the resignation of Tony Blair as Gordon Brown has taken over. You may well wish to consider staying away for another couple of years or so.
Keep having good times.
AND HELLO NZ Gosh it's been tiring keeping up with your travels. Exciting though and the views of the Great Ocean Road do look something else. Makes Hove look positively dull !!
Saw a programme recently with bits from NZ and reckon you'll find it pretty good too so enjoy and keep sending the pictures.
Don't want to put a dampener on your travels but announced on BBC main news was the fact that the BBC will be losing Neighbours next year. However not all bad news for Chris as it will be shown on channel 5. There are probably other items of news you've missed as well.
Take care.
If only Wales was that far away. From the news and pictures the trip seems to be getting better and better. We would have loved the tour on the 4 wheel drive and to see the dolphins. May have given stroking a croc a miss.
Hate to think what seeing a snake would have done to Lila. She trod on one the other day when out for a walk and is still recovering from the shock. (and it was dead anyway ! ! )
Bunny Melly - you really have a future with Great Universal Stores! I like the frock. Chris's rabbit also "ran away" - something else you have in common. Going down to Dorset this weekend.
Miss you both loads. xx
Happy Birthday Hey guys glad you are having a great time and that you now have a van you can fit in Chris! What a way to spend your birthday Mel, hope you had a good day, was going to text but lost your number can you send it to me again? anyway take care guys speak soon xx
WOW The pictures of the Barrier Reef are amazing and so are the animals. However the lack of details and pictures of the camper van are very disappointing. You didn't even tell us it's name.
Keep enjoying yourselves.
Ahoy there Good to hear from you guys, the latest pictures look stunning. Much better than all the slack jawed yokels you have encountered, i would rather enjoyed a few pictures of 'cleetus'. I Had assumed that chris had done most of the driving, mainly for the lack of 'Brit tourists in road mayhem - Many fatalities feared' type headlines reaching us in blighty. So you will be sleeping in your car for a while...is the money running low ??? Anyway, time for sleep...its late and im working with/for Darren again tomorrow. Will try and get a call out to you soon. take care, much love from baps
Great Parks The National Parks look spectacular and the vastness must be amazing. Looking forward to hearing about Alice Springs and seeing pictures.
Richard and Amber had a good trip down the East Coast and a former work friend of mine is travelling there now. You may pick up some tips from their blogs. http://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Ambre/ - http://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/HayleyG/
Have fun and take care.

Hi from India
Chris,
I want to do the same travel in Western Australia....I want to do camping and hiking trip....for about 4 to 6 months (really long term)...
Can you share your camping experiences in Western Australia??
Dolphins Im so jealous. It looks amazing. you were living my dream with them dolphins. will show peter your pics when he gets back from albania. Molly says hi. have fun. keep safe. x
Thanks for pics Many thanks for the photos of my old house. We had that house built for us and left it after about 2 years - amazing to see how the trees had grown - lawn looked a bit burnt though. When I see that bright blue sky I can't imagine why we ever left Perth. Take care up north - watch out for those redback spiders!
