so moving I was there in 1991. Your photos show Dachau has physically changed since then, but the oppressive and tragic feeling will never change. Thank you for sharing.
Name game Wow, did you do a great job on those challenging Dutch names! Of course, you could get away with butchering the spelling, who's going to spell check them? :-) We hope to get Amsterdam some day. You two really packed in a lot! Looking forward to armchair traveling with you. Love, Victoria
Yes, unfortunately all the walking has not cancelled all the calories from wine and beer! But there a lot of excuses for stopping for a beer or glass of wine and a snack!
Boys, Boats and Bad Teeth I remember that cruise from Bacharach! So where are all those boy scouts this time around? Thank goodness you have a much more handsome fella vying for your attention - certainly older than 12 and with good teeth, too. But is he as easily manipulated to do the YMCA dance?
Glad to finally have a picture of Jenn!
Keep the posts and pics coming!!!!
No boy scouts but the trains around Bacharach were full of children. We wondered what would happen if one got left on the train by mistake. On the cruise, I would say there were more retired people than backpackers! But the area is still as beautiful!
It's nice if you are out of the wind. In the 60s. The sun was popping in and out and the wind was brisk on the cruise. But wasn't bad enough for me to go inside!
Boxing Day pictures Spencer and I just viewed your prints........What an experience. I can't believe Bill took that cable ride! You're a great looking group. I bet you all have stopped traffic.
Jennifer, you write a great blog. Thank you.

what fun I sure am enjoying keeping updated on your travels. What an exciting trip and one for the memory banks. I wish Gma Myrel had internet access to see your adventures. I guess she will have to settle for a full 'slide show' when you return...teehee. Happy new year to all of you. Safe travels and will check your blog again soon. Love you. Stacy

December 30 Hi to all in Hong Kong,
I just read your last two blogs and really enjoyed your pictures. What an incredible experience you all are having. I wish I was there. How wonderful to have Rosemary and Jim and Jim Jr. to be your travel guides! Look forward to hearing your stories.

Saturday night We got back into town on Sunday. Gus was very happy to see that we are not leaving. He is doing really good with Ajax. He is even beginning to try establish some dominance by biting Ajax when Ajax is on my lap. You will probably need to check you roof when you get home for loose shingles. We had a really bad bad wind storm and rain on Saturday. When we got back into town on Sunday Frank was tearing broken boards off the swingset of Michaela's. The wind had tore it out of the ground and broke the roof off of it. As well as split the board the swings were hanging on in two pieces. It was quite a sight. I will probably drive around the neighborhood when I go out for groceries today to see if any other houses got damage. It doesn't look like it from our house or Frank's. Apparently the wind storm went right up through Illinois and Greg's cousin who was traveling to Florida at the time said they saw about 5 semi blown over on the side of the road. It must have been some wind. Glad to see you are having fun. J.T. loves having Gus around.
Gus Well Gus is a little mad that neither I nor you are staying around to attend to him. Greg and I came back to KC on Sunday 20th. Gus had a little accident in the house while we left him to go out to eat. So I told Zach he probably needed to kennel him while he was not home because he is mad. The whole family came back on Christmas Eve, we looked all over the house, NO GUS! Zach felt sorry for him, so while he is working he has been taking Gus over to his sister's since Julie is a teacher and loves dogs and is staying at home. Gus stayed the night at Julie's with Zach on Christmas Eve and went over to Zach's mom's house for Christmas Day. So Gus is being very spoiled right now. We are going home on Sunday so we will be there to take care of him after that. I am glad you guys are living some stories to tell. I can't wait to hear them when you get back. Have fun.
Christmas Day We enjoyed reading your blog and viewing the pictures. It's hard to believe you are 1/2 a world away. We just returned from Stacy's. We had alot of fun playing the Wii, shuffleboard and opening gifts. Too much food. Time with all the children was priceless. Take care.

Poop
Very cool, especially the Pope. Pigeon poop is supposed to be good for your hair and face. :) Miss you!
