Goedendag! All flights were fine. Had bulkhead seats for overseas flight so had lots of room. It was hard to sleep because most of the flight was during the day/evening hours.
Arrived at Schipol airport and took train to main station in Amsterdam. We were able to walk to our hotel which is very nice and centrally located. A few minutes to freshen up and we were off. Walked to the Heineken Experience which was enjoyable but not like the last time I was there. Not much of the actual factory. And we surely enjoyed our 4 beers at the end. After that we took a canal ride. As we were waiting for the boat to come, we started speaking with the gentleman next to us. Lo and behold, he was to the the driver/captain on the boat we were to be on. We were almost last in line but as we boarded, he had saved us seats in the front of the boat. And he could really dock the boat and all by himself. We went to an Italian restaurant for dinner and had wine/beer with it. Stopped for another beer at sidewalk cafe and then home. And this
all on about 3 to 4 hours of sleep on plane. We were in bed by 9:30 and out. Observations: A majority of the people we have seen are younger in their 20s and 30s and spend their Sundays sitting at cafes and there are a LOT of bikes in Amsterdam.
