China continues to amaze us . Thankyou you all for your wonderful comments , its really good to know that people do have a look and are interested in where we are. its also a way of keeping in touch with you all as up til now the itinerary has been so full it is difficult to respond to everyone. It should get better time wise in the next few weeks or perhaps it wont!! But do keep on commenting , i know it will help when i am on my own. We left Shanghai three, or was it four days ago and before flying to Kunming and onto Dali in the Sw we visited a very pretty though touisty village called Zhujiajiano about an hour from shanghai. Hello from the wonderful city of Shanghai which I have to say has blown us all away!It is truly awesome with hundreads of skyscrapers each completely different. It is the mecca of china with 22 million people registered as living in the city boundaries and a further 10 more in the suburbs. Last night i did something i never dreamed I would do I went up the 2nd tallest buliding in the world 485 metres 101 floors .You will be pleased to know that I wore my one and only paur of heels which sadly I had to take off i was so scared of walking so high up!!!!. Finally , Hopefully I will be successful in adding an entry from abroad! We have been in China now just a week and it seems like a month , we have done so much. We have travelled from Beijing to Xian and boarded the Victoria Rose our mini criuse ship for our jaunt down the Yangtze to the greatest tallest biggest Dam in the world!!. China has turned out to be amazing , the people are friendly and welcoming, nothing seems to be too much trouble apart from the toot toot driver who wanted to charge us the equivalent of 50 pounds for a 5 minute ride ! Well Sunday has dawned bright and we leave in about 5 hours! I cant believe after all these months of planning , all the worries about where to go, how to get there, will I cope and many more, now are begining to fade. I have packed and unpacked 3 times and the case still looks and feels very heavy though I hope its below the max weight. And what is even more distressing is that I only have one pair of high heels with me - what is a girl supposed to do?! Ofcourse I will have Al with me for the China bit and Anji for some of Malaysia and that will be grand and will gentlly slide me into coping on my own.
