Day 8 Continued from Part One... When Kwan told us, out of the blue, that we had to get to his friend’s boat immediately, we complied, ready for adventure. Kwan hopped on his street bicycle and we followed him on our bikes. We made a quick stop at a shop to buy a few beers and then headed straight down a ramp that led on to the beach sand. Ten minutes of riding, roughly, through the sand, and we copied Kwan as he hid his bike, on its side, under a large pine tree. Confidently, Kwan began striding straight out to sea, towards his friend’s boat we supposed.
