Castle It's funny.. I have been living here in Germany for like 25years but never went to vist the Castles in the south! hahha I think I better do someday... :)
Laura Ingalls to Mt.Rushmore Started by looking for Laura Ingalls for my 8yr old grandson and found the Bonds! What a wonderful blog! Ending up with Mt. Rushmore was an unexpected treat! It's on my list of places to go. Where are you going next? Keep us armchair travelers informed! P.S. Come to the Northeast if you haven't been here yet!
The Alnwick Garden, northumberland The Alnwick Garden, although next door to Alnwick Castle doesn't belong to the castle it's a stand alone charity which the Duchess of Northumberland is a trustee (prince charles is patron). As such its open all year round (except Christmas Day) with activities for all of teh famuily - look out for their ADVENTure at the Alnwick Garden christmas activities - thousands of lights and a elf trail to fatehr Christmas - utterly none commercial and beautiful. For more info on The Alnwick Garden check out their excellent website www.alnwickgarden.com
Welcome to Hong Kong Blond,
I am so admired you and your family could settle everything and go for travelling the world. Sorry for the weather during previous visit, it should be better next time. There is a lot to see in Hong Kong!
Thanks for the Great Pictures I used your picture of the tomb for our powerpoint worship background for Easter Sunday at our Church - your trip has made me really want to go - glad your family could go and what a place for her baptism!
American Soldier Hi!
Great picture of the Checkpoint Charlie memorial. I was the American Soldier whose picture hangs there and troll the Internet occassionally just to see where it has turned up. I read once that I was the last US Soldier to die in WWII and thought that was a hoot. Well, take care and I hope you enjoyed my crooked tie in your photo album.
All the best
Jeff
I know that this is a little strange If you even still check this site...I know "Aunt Linda" and she is the best tour guide ever for Portugal. I visited my brother, who was interning with Ron from Jan. to July, in Lisbon for a weekend and Linda took us around. I was currently looking for the name of the monestary we went to in the mountains that Linda took us to, when I stumbled upon your site. Your pictures looked remarkably like most of the places that we went. Thanks to your travel blog, I have the name of the monestary so I can research it for something that I plan to put together for my father for a Christmas gift with one of the pictures that I printed in my photography minor at school. How Amazing!! Thank you.
Pet keeper Hey, The Bonds are great people. Too bad you don't know them "Terrierwoman". I do and I am very lucky indeed. Glad you all made it home safe and sound. Love ya me
Sad to see it end. Well, I don't know who you are but I have enjoyed getting your blog. Maybe someday if you are lucky, we will meet and become life long friends. But for now my email will not be full of "Bond Adventures". Can anyone out there tell me who these people are?
Probably Right! Thanks Jason, when we were choosing the photos for this blog we weren't sure about the location. Your probably right. London holds a special place in our memories...Your fortunate to live in such a wonderful city! Best Regards
"Guard near Downing St." Hope you enjoyed your visit to our city. I'm not sure that photo is a "guard near Downing St" it looks like St James' Palace to me.
Japan - old and new I loved your comment about Japan being a woderful blend of old and new. It is a wonderful place. I'm from Colorado, but spent 2 years in Japan with my husband, studying and working. We loved every minute of it. When we visited Kyoto we were amazed with the culture and the Buddha in Nara was increadible. Don't worry even after 2 years of Japanese I still get confused by the Tokyo subway/train system. You have to learn to think in colors not in north/south/east/west directions. At one point I did look into buying a toilet seat to send to my parents as a christmas present. It's remarkably expensive and complicated so I gave up on the idea. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Japan, it has a special place in my heart.
Lovely Do Allana, I can't believe how much your hair has grown! Love the cut, it looks GORGEOUS, as do you. Do I see fish net hose? My, my, my.
ISH-MI-LAH, NO WE WILL NOT LET YOU GO (words off a little? spelling, for sure)--Love Carmen
Heart felt thanks. Thank you, Rob and Janine, for praying for my need in your time of need. My heart goes out to all the people of London. Stay strong and trust in God, He will help you see hard times through. May God bless you and watch over you. Love in Christ, Val (I hope you get a chance to read this.)
Hey Bonds, looking forward to seeing you soon. Stay safe and remember sometimes you should listen to the locals, you know about traffic. But then again it would not be your trip if you didn't do things your way. Love you all very much! Val
What's up with complaints!! Hey, i don't know these strange blond bonds but they are doing a lot of traveling so give them a break if they don't know the difference between scottland and england. They're just countries you know and well they have green grass and stuff in them both. Easy mistake!!!
Now, back to these blond bonds who keep sending me their travel blog. If I were a person who know your past and future, which i don't, i would say that you may have a dog and for sure a cat. That shortest blond bond looks like a cat person. And I know you didn't take them with you so you must have found some great friend to watch and take care of them for you. Am I right??????
Still, even though I don't know you and I am not sure why you keep sending me your pictures, I do love the pictures, and I don't care if they are of England or Scotland. Whoever you are stay safe!
Great Entry You have a lot of travelblog fans, and now I see why. Great entry, and this is coming from someone who keeps a travelblog, and appreciates just how much work went into these.
Sorry Sorry if it seemed a little confusing, we visited Alnwick before driving over the Scottish Border. The Alnwick Castle is located on the outskirts of Alnwick Town England, just off the A1 highway about 30 miles from the border. Thanks, we definitely don't want any Scotsmen mad at us... we saw braveheart!
i appreciate it´s picky, but if the castle´s in Scotland then it´s not in England. Great Britain will do nicely though. Isn´t really an issue but some Scotsmen get irratable about it. Good entry though
With a name like Bond we couldn't resist the chance to have a global adventure. After 21 years in the corporate world "A" decided it was time to make a change and take a life-changing trip. It only took "J" and the girls...oh 2 seconds to agree! What follows is the story of what happens when two 40 somethings and their two daughters sale the house, find a babysitter for the pets and take off for the adventure of a lifetime. We think it will be a great "Bonding" experience! We promise to keep you updated.... full info
