Hi AMy Somehow managed to track down this blog....I love snow too! Hope to go to Falls Creek again this year, but I don't think that is quite up to Mount Fuji! 8 degrees sounds nice..it is 40 today and just a bit too much! Did you have to have chains on your car? I think they must have been designed by a man as they are SOOO....difficult to put on and take off!! Love Sheila

A friend for life!!!
Amy, thanks for all those lovely comments! I miss you saying 'tadaima' when you arrived home, you doing your crazy 'weekend dance', watching nip/tuck together, eating mame, drinking Kaluah, shopping at the Shizu, stopping the cab halfway home for you ;) running for the bus, and walking silently to kindy every morning (haha definitely both not morning people!) I hope to see you in Japan in your last week as I begin another year there! I also look forward to meeting Rebekah and having another fun filled year!! Devious Secrets
You daring devil. Im glad it went over well, Ive heard horror stories of people pulling big suprises like this- only for their loved ones to think soemthing absolutely terrible has happened otherwise they wouldnt be home! Looks like a nice farm, you guys have alpacas?! Australia looks like home to me, hot and dry and lots of Eucalypts. Im not so sure i believe one thing though... did a kangaroo really hit that car? ;) PS- your house and farm looks way cooler from land level then from google earth!

Yeah thanks for letting me know?
Hi Aims, Well what happen to telling me ya were coming home, hey? Not to worry, in those instances the less that know the better as more often than not, somebody just can't help themselves and blurts it out. By the way, Good driving matey?, glad to see nothing has changed, you still can't drive for nuts!. Not that I can talk? Anyway Xmas at the folks place was quite reasonable this year, temperature wise and Dad wise. None of them got over 25 degrees so it was bloody good for a change. Not much going on here in QLD, still very dry, had a tad of rain but that went as soon as it hit the ground. I applied for a teachers assistant job in Japan a week ago, let you know how it goes. Sounded like they wanted someone "younger" but anyway chat soon. Ben. x

Baka? What The?
Hi Aims, Sensational shots once again. As for ya "Baka" mate, ya should've just kneed him in Mt Fuji and push him over in true Aussie style. Don't tell ya Mum I said that!. Anyway, I'm off to Sydney for Xmas drinks with the family down there. Should be good to see the rug rats and have a few echoes. It's been crazy weather here still. Lots of bush fires in NSW and Tas and then temperatures as low as 15 degrees in the middle of summer, so I say something has gotta give pretty soon. Have a wonderful white Christmas and Happy New Year. lotsa of Xmas happiness to you, Ben.

THANKS
What a beautiful present Amy. Thankyou so much. The mountains look just the same but so different with their new colours. I have always loved bonsai and dead trees as you know I love their skeletons, but that one with the life line is very special. I will have to think up some more requests- perhaps snow would be a good theme in a couple of months!!
28th November 2006

Hey Aim's! Wow, i feel like i've just viewed every leaf in Japan! I'm glad you risked your life trethching through that vigorous coutryside for those beautiful pics! Okay seeing as bad jokes are the go, here goes one: Why is the sand wet at the beach? Cos the sea 'weed'! hahahah! Just thought i'd remind you that he Cricket is on this Friday at the Adel Oval! I'll think of you when i drink my first beer on the hill under the scoreboard! We'll i had better keep it short and shiny today, gotta go and 'leaf' you alone! Ha! Any wombats there?
UnbeLEAVEable pic's Aims. Well done. Well it's lovely weather here in QLD at the moment, just a tad under 40 deg's so definitely trying to stay in the shade. If we had some water in Toowoomba it would quite handy, a bloke could go for a swim. Guess ya heard we flogged the Pom's at the Gabba, yeah-ha! Bring on Adelaide, oops I'm not going now, I'm heading home to have Xmas with Sam, Michelle and the folks. Probably play bowls on Saturday, bake foot day, that'll be some fun. Boys vs girls so I'll see how good mum is. Other than that, not much happening, just gearing up for the Xmas partying. Chat soon. Ben.
