it's always interesting to read others' perspective on my neighborhood - we live about an hour and a half from Arches (in SW Colorado) and it's a popular destination for us. i hope the people of the US are treating you well and that you enjoy the Rockies portion of your trip! wheres billy?? Ok what have you done with the other half of billy?? Sands you have either got amazingly good with your trick photography (in that case you are taking all pictures of me in the future!) or billy boy has dissolved! i thought america made you fat? ha ha i know i should be commenting on the gorgeous scenery but thats a given and i am too jealous to do it anymore!!

Hey, sorry you were so dissappointed with Rutarua...it was my favorite!!!! A Shame you missed the fantastic Huangi....touristy, dinner in a traditional Maori Village. it give you a great idea of the tradition and the food is cooked in the traditional manor in a pit under the earth....absolutely extraordainery. The best dinner I have ever had!!!!
Luckily we were treated to a real erution of the geyser. we had to wait a bit but it was absolutely amazing. I learned about it in geograpy at school, and was always so fassinated with the whole thing....what an opportunity to witness it for myself!!! Enjoy Hawaii!!!! Looking forward to the pictures!!!

Thanks for the post Marilie. If only you had told us about the pie shop before. I would have definitely made Billy go there! We did drive through Arrow Town, quaint little town. Would love to see your pics from your ski holiday. Love us.
Hope you stopped in Arrow Town on your way to Wannaka. The best Pie shop on the world. We actually stayed in AT, and went to teh pie shop I think 5 times. We left something at the accommodation where we stayed, and had to go back....we did not worry because we could bet another few pies!!!!!! Some of our other friends has also stopped there on reccommendation...and has the same stories to tell!!!! realy hoped you stubled across it!!!!
