My Home City until I was 17 Hi Ian and Wendy,
Some moving pictures for me as I used to go to the Cavern regularly. The music was so loud you could not talk to each other.
Had a few holidays in Blackpool which has not changed much----no sea except for a 10 minute high tide which then quickly disappeared again. Did you visit Speak Airport (Liverpool Airport) where the series Easy Jet was made? It is also Bob's home town. Regards Martin
Thank you! We have been studying Lindisfarne and a Google brought up your sight. It is really cool to see the real thing even though it is in ruin. It always makes history come to life to see pics or go to a place and walk on the land.
We appreciate you sharing with us!!!
Marvelous Time Hi folks. Read you latest and what superb photos you are taking.
Sounds like you will never want to come home to New Zealand.
Take care; if I was there by now would have got on the wrong boat or train. You make it all sound so easy. Cheers Martin
Your trip I find it hard to believe you are having such a great time. Sounds unbelievable but you have done it at the right time in life. So keep going as long as you can, Martin
snow on dartmoor Plymouth must be the only place to not get snow this week. However it is extremely thick on Dartmoor and we have just had a fun walk up there with the dog. ps The hall and grounds look lovely all in white.
Winter gossiping Haha! Laughing heaps at mum's winter gossiping picture! I love it!
Wonder why we can spend more time at the window... I'm wearing freaking jandals right now!
Hugs and kisses from Brazil, that surely misses you!

Bakewell I have no idea what a Bakewell Pudding is, but I love the more common Tart, so I look forwards to my parents offering this education to me next time I home. I have to say, your blogs are really giving me some good ideas for where to take Ricardo when we move. The Lakes and NW Scotland are two of my firm faves!
Beautiful photos Mum must be loving this - the photos look just like the places you would enjoy.. I cracked up laughing when i read that thing about the church bells, when they started ringing. I can just picture what happened :) im jealous of all your trips and travelling! :-)
Pom has grown up Hi Ian and Wendy - I had to double take on Pom. Wow, he has become a fine young man. I will remember the tip about looking interested in anything on the market for future reference. That boat looks too fast for me too. I don't know how Wendy does it, one day in Bangkok and already a tour company with her name on the coach - coaches are not buses I was told. All the best. I am looking forward to read the rest. Enjoy!
Ian and Wendy are planning a Big Baby Boomer Overseas Experience in 2008/09. They will travel to UK to live - and work to finance their further travels to places far and near. This Log will chronicle their preparation and adventures.... full info
