Until the 20th century, Italy's women had no say so whatsoever. Not only did they have no voice, they also didn't posses the right to be educated. Italian women's main roles was being a wife , taking care of home , and tending to the children. Now women have more freedom in Italy. They're entitled to get a education. They also posses the right to earn a degree and obtain a job. About 80% of Italy's women have a job. Including those who have went to school and got a degree. Women with a second education in Italy are employed. Only about a half of the 80% with second education are employed.
