Me and chloe arrived yesterday evening in quito and took a cab to the old part of the city, which is cheaper but more dangerous, and got a room right next to the bus station in the Grand Hotel, which is actually a very cosy and simple hostel for $8, and went straight to bed. the next morning we tried to catch a bus, but i turns out it is a holiday, All Souls Day, and everyone had beat us there, so we eventually caught a bus to Ibarra, where we are now. i cant really describe how massive the mountians are here, and how fast the bus flies around the corners that edge 3000 ft cliffs. its beautiful, everyone has been very nice, everything is impossibly cheap, and luckily, no-one speaks very good english. in
