so many memories for you both.
Can't wait to have you back. Your last European adventure ( for now) looks so lovely. How funny having the Koreans touch Dahlia, she looks very happy to oblige. She is growing more and more gorgeous, must be due to those goodlookin parents of hers and all the love and care she's getting. One more sleep til the new rector starts. Hallelujah!! Hope the packing's going ok and life isn't too crazy. love yas lots xoxox.
Ontzagwekkend! Hey great pics guys - Lil was nostalgic - I remember that picture of you in the clog - Dahlia always looks so cute/happy in all the pics!
What no more blogs?! Great photos in the last European Blog. Can't believe there will be no more for now. Have gotten used to my semi regular European and World (armchair) travels....I will miss the scenes and stories. You will really have a great log of memories to look back on when back in Aus. GOod luck with the packing and travelling. Look forward to catching up some time after you're home when I'm up in Sydney.
:-P Can't believe you guys are coming back. Australia is going to seem so boring to you. And who am I going to like vicariously through now? You'll have to keep the blog going, and find a way of making me jealous you live in Croyden.
Hope all goes well.
Are you not allowed prams in Karlovy Vary?
Looks so beautiful! hi guys, thanks for the photo's and story. Looks like Christmas wonderland. I love your Christmas tree and Steph looks stunning in the red velvet mat. Good that Dahlia likes Santa, she looks very happy and very gorgeous. Can't wait to see her again one day. Thanks too for the beautiful little wooden dove, it came on Friday. I will find sonewhere special to hang it. My big news is I might be buying a house. Need to pay 10% on Wednesday but the building report has comw back with some problems so not sure what to do. Potentially exciting but a wee bit stressful at the moment.
The nominators have also but a name forward to be our new Rector. Don't know who it is but the nominators seem excited. Hope you have FANTASTIC Christmas celebrating Jesus coming into the world. Love you lots Leanne
Thanks for your comment. Its an incredibly beauitful country and the Westman Islands are just about the highlight. The building at Storhofoi is some sort of weather station Im pretty sure. (Its the windiest spot in Europe). When we were there (last week of August) it averaged about 12-15 degree maximum, but the cold wind was brutal! Still, totally worth it!
Beautiful! Incredible pictures.
I stumbled upon an aerial shot recently of an obscure island, all I had was that it was off Heimaey. Obsessed with the picture, I dug and dug for ANY info on it. Eventually I came across your site, and there it is off Storhofoi! The fenceline points right to it. What is the building on that island, is it a research station or something?
Amazing country, and your baby is beautifully happy. What was the temperature when you went?
Wow Hey you guys, this is an awesome blog; thanks. It is really great to see you making the most of opportunities, and great to get such a good view of your trip. Look forward to catching up some time in the future. I'll also look for you online sometime. Cheers.
Thanks :) In the past we have taken the picture from a distance (with extra space at top and bottom) and cropped it down. This time I took about 6 photos and stitched them together using the digital download program.
Great to hear from you Thanks for the email and the chance to see photos of the three of you. Dahlia is gorgeous. It's nice to see photos of where you are now living.
Thanks again
Love
Aunty Christine
Lost in Vienna Thanks for the photos of the Schonbrunn palace and gardens. I have actually been there...well to be precise was scheduled to be there on our tour but we managed to get ourselves lost in Vienna (I agree, very easy to do) and by the time we found our way back to the palace only had time for a brief look at the outside. Hmmm. So I have enjoyed seeing what we missed!
Out done yourselves... Everytime I think you can't do anything more exciting you prove me wrong. Your travel stories are amazing, and it's a thrill to read them.
Massive blog! Sometimes wonder (with disappointment) if you've given up on this, then read another amazing entry. It sounds so fantastic!
Good move convincing steph, but can't wait to see what punishment- I mean holiday she comes up with next.
Hi! We are Australians living in Prague, having moved from Sydney at the start of 2007. We've travelled as much as possible and this is a record of our adventures, and our attempt to keep in touch with friends back in Australia. It's fair to say that these experiences have really changed how we look at the world and life.
Since starting this adventure we've added a 3rd member to our travelling party (little D), so the intensity of our travels has dropped off somewhat. Still we love exploring this incredible world when we get the opportunity.
