The wacko's are on the loose. Glad you were able to provide some therapy to others....sounds like it was needed. Sounds like you had some fun even without the frog and monkey's. When we were in Costa Rica the howler monkey's were in the trees right out of our bedroom. They were entertaining. Carry on and let us know what is next.
You have done it again Another riveting chapter in your travels. Such a people person you are !!! Proud of you for not giving up on Mike. Too bad about the tree frogs and monkey though. Great story.

its a gift A remarkable gift to be so comfortable speaking with strangers. You use it better than anyone I know, Couple of times I told myself 'just do it like A***** would.
Adventure Mum I remember when my mother dragged my 8 year old self to a cock fight. I'm serious. We went up and down backalleys in a small mexican town before we found the secret ring behind heavy wooden doors. I'm mortified now, but I remember it being so fun, surrounded by surley rancheros who took up bets from these two blonde gringas and cheered us along. I won 60 pesos too. To this day, my mum really can't see what the issue was/is.
Always talk to strangers! Amen. Oh oh and you've been bitten by the photography bug I see. Next thing you'll find yourself lugging bags of heavy camera equipment and telephoto lens the size of pepper mills, chasing that ellusive shot like a heroin junkie chases the dragon. My condolences to your spouse.
Thanks for sharing the joy! You have identified the essence of finding the joy in traveling--- learning about the people and the culture. To share it with others is just more "icing on the cake". Thanks for sharing about places I may never get to. Can't wait to hear more.
They're great! Come in all sizes!! AND you change into one in public and NO ONE will notice.
P.S. You're hilarious by the way. You have me laughing out loud!
Love it! Its time I changed my jersey! Looking forward to reading the rest! Laying in bed, taken a day off work, broken hearted... Loved your metaphor... your blogs look like just my cup of tea!
And a list of your finest wines as well, good man! One of my favorite bits was when you asked Mr. policia if he had a seating recommendation for us....classic... Great writing! Your public demands more!
What a great story This was such a great story and I can imagine an even better day. You make me laugh with some of the situations you find yourself in. Wrong teams jersey? Who would have thought.
Good, fun blog :) The guy you enjoyed photographing so much is the spitting image of the famous Brazilian actor Wagner Moura..... actually, I think it probably is him ;)
It's a Wonderful Town Thanks for letting us get our travel buzz with your story. Knowing what a sweet girl India is, I can just see her little face as she tried to be a good travel companion. She deserves a longer trip, maybe to Italy or France. She has earned her "good traveler" badge. The pictures were great too. Thanks for sharing.
