You got cheated
Railway tickets don't have to be "reconfirmed". Rs. 10000 for a road journey to Agra is more than double the price. These were just cheats. Please do not hesitate to apprach a policeman or railway official in such cases.

Thanks
Loving your blog, thanks. It's sad but I also found that so many Indians try to lie, cheat and steal.

The Indian people see us Westerners as walking wallets! The unwary can so easily be ripped-off, particularly by so-called travel agents. Even a full-day Delhi-Agra-Delhi trip by small private car, including guiding at the Taj Mahal, the Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, shouldn't cost more than Rs5,000 max, including tips. Make it a rule to never accept the first price.

You should be a thriller writer...
A great tale with a twist at the end! It proves that, even in India, one should never judge a book by its cover.

Yeah he ripped u
I keep reading blogs of travelers and I feel so sad because I am an Indian and I hate Indians who cheat people. Please whenever in trouble try to contact somebody in the official capacity. I know they are rude but still it is better than to be cheated. He charged you $100 extra.
