Hello from Thailand! We last left you just before we set off for our 3 day jungle trek, so let's begin there. Firstly, we headed to the elephant camp for an hour elephant ride, the treatment of the elephants was a little controversial (as is the treatment of most of the animals used for tourists pleasure out here) and on that basis Mat, and a few others, decided to walk behind as the remainder of the group rode on. Being on an elephant is a much more pleasurable experience than being on a camel! It was good fun but I cringed every time the tour guide whacked the elephant over the head with a metal hook attached to the end of a wooden pole, can't say I enjoyed that bit. Post casual elephant ride the trekking ... read more

Firstly, check out our previous blogs again; We're in the process of embedding specific pictures on to our blog. Mat checked out the other blogs on this website and has started to get a bit competitive! We understand that only some of you could view the India images from the link, serves you bloody right for not subscribing! Jokes. But.. It turns out that only those that subscribed could view the photos. Anywho, that won't be a problem now because you'll be able to view the photos as we go along (this is still work in progess!). So, Bangkok. We told you a little bit about it in the last blog and to be honest, there's not much more to add. A lot of the entertainment didn't really appeal to us but it's quite hard to ... read more

Hi All, So we arrived in Bangkok safe and sound, and have apparently entered a circus. Ping Pong Shows, Ladyboy Shows, Crocodile/Cobra Shows, Elephants Doing Headstands and Playing Football Shows, Drugged Up Tiger Shows. It's amazing to be here and it seems a million light years away from India. I'm very happy that I can drink copious amounts of Chang Beer and Amber is happy that she can don her short shorts! It's definitely time to move on though, a glorified Malia springs to mind! We are blogging just to let you know that we've put the India pictures up, you can access the on the link below. Tonight we are heading to the North, Chiang Mai. We will blog properly when we are up there to update you all on our Thai Shenanigans and Debauchery! ... read more

... Mission: Accomplished. But first, let's start with the jungle. From Jodhpur, we travelled to the remote town of Ranakpur. To our surprise, we actually felt quite detached from the hustle and bustle and wanted to be back amongst the chaos! Nonetheless, the jungle was absolutely stunning. Apparently they have tigers and crocodiles roaming the place, but when we ventured to the lake we saw nothing but frog spawn. We had the cutest little Indian boy guide us to the lake, where he made Amber a lovely necklace made from flowers. We stayed here for one night, which was all we needed. Just as I thought i'd escaped the creepy-crawliness of the desert, I stumbled upon not one, not two, but three lizards in our room. Not impressed. As Amber (as usual) had no problem in ... read more

Camel trek. Done. Sleeping in the sand dunes. Done. Mat waking me up (whilst in the desert) at 4am, screaming. Done. Quick side notes and then I will explain all! After we last blogged in Jodhpur (where we are back again tonight) we went out for a beautiful meal at a restaurant called Indique, we were five storeys high and surrounding us was the fort, the clock tower and a lake. During our meal, the streets below broke out in song and dance (we had wondered why there were so many women and children out and about.) It was to celebrate the God Ganesha and it was a truly mesmorising scene. We didn't have the camera with us so we can't share it with you all when we upload our pictures but this makes that moment ... read more

Namaste! So, we last blogged in rain-soaked Jaipur, up until this point India had been pretty tough for us both. The "Golden Triangle", we felt, wasn't so golden after all. However, on our second day in Jaipur, we visited a town on the outskirts, called Amber (bloody typical that this is the first place that we really felt comfortable in!). A beautiful 16th Century Amber coloured fort had us both in awe. At that point, away from the hussle, the bussle and the tourist hassle, we felt like we were discovering the real India. From here, we ventured back in to Jaipur (otherwise known as the Pink City... It's never bloody seen pink, it was orange! This had us confused for quite a while..) to do the typical touristy things; City Palace, Jantar Mantah and Albert ... read more

As we sit here in rain-soaked Jaipur, we ask "Where do we start?" I know exactly where to start in fact, and that's the journey from Delhi Airport to our first port of call, Parahganj. Oh, Parahganj. When we arrived outside our "hotel" we were shocked. Culture shocked. It was dirty, had a particular smell (shit) and was indescribably chaotic. We proceeded to sleep the whole day and later headed to the tourist office and booked any means possible to Agra. Delhi isn't the best place to be right now; Dengue Fever is rife, there's severe flooding (our driver, more to come on him later, told us today that the water is now waist high), Eid Festival meant everything was closed and EVERYTHING is under construction for the Commonwealth Games. It's chaos. However, one funny experience ... read more

Hello! Or should I say Namaste.... Thought i'd get the blog ball rolling, as I sit here at my old mans house in good old West Yorkshire. Today has purely consisted of drinking ale and driving around parts of Yorkshire listening to tales of me Dads childhood, which was (as always) very insightful. I'm now about to have a few drinks at home with the family to say goodbye. Our journey has been booked for a couple of months now, and the realisation of travelling the world hadn't hit home, until today; We were sat in the beer garden with a pint of our favourite beer (Black Sheep) and me dad said to me "Well lad, this is the last pint of Black Sheep you'll have for a while", Now this sounds strange, but considering that ... read more
