The time has finally (almost) arrived!
Both arms have been tenderized with immunizations, dozens of spicy feasts have been consumed in earnest anticipation and bags are absolutely nowhere near packed- BUT I'M GOING TO INDIA!
Tickets were purchased today, 9/17/2011, and the itinerary is as follows:
October 28th we will depart and fly across the world, hanging a quick right in China just long enough to grab some grub in Hong Kong before continuing on to Delhi. The month of November will be spent spinning in a dizzying flurry of colors, scents, temples, beauty parlors, bazaars, palaces, animals ,rooftops, mosques, trains, dhabas, shopping malls, boats, movie theaters and more massive throngs of people than I can possibly imagine as I sit in my quiet residential neighborhood in downtown Sacramento.
The airline says I'm returning to the USA December 1st.
I am eager to immerse myself in all things Indian and you should be, too!
