re photo of Sinozam Hospital Hi there - I was born in Nkana and my mother worked for many years in what was then called Nkana Mine Hospital - your photo of Sinozam Hospital is the same building. Years ago I met some Zambian women who when they heard my surname were thrilled to tell me that a photo of my mother "Nurse Cormick" was still hanging in the entrance of the hospital. I have tried to obtain a copy of the photo unsuccessfully. Just wondered if you ventured inside the hospital and maybe saw the photo or better still took a picture of it... a wild wild hope! Dina
Photo of Sinozam hospital Good afternoon,
Unfortunately I didn't go inside which I regret not doing. Long story but we didn't have long to stop.
We needed to catch up with some friends in Lusaka so only stayed a short while then hopped on another (very long) bus ride.
I hope you find the photo you are looking for!
Kind regards,
Adam

T-shirts/Walking sticks When one has been on a trip, and would like to choose a walking stick or t-shirt to purchase over the internet from Parc Du National in Rawanda - where does one go?
Muzuzu:a middle way to Karonga I happen to see the joyful story of yours ,as I struggle to search the image of jacaranda flower.
I have involved in the M26 public road project aided by Taiwan, the place Muzuzu may be on my mind ever and forever.
Thank a lot.Your story brings me back to a happy time and place.
French did you say French? Hello!
So yes Reunion is very French because it is a French Territory. Similar type pf situation than Guadeloupe and Martinique. So if you want it is a region of France like Corsica or Auvergne would be. Seems strange but it is all due to our colonial past. I guess you could compare that to Hong-Kong for the Brits.
Hope you enjoyed la Soufriere and the beautiful island!
Love
Emilie
Has made my morning reading this. Your travels have been making me very envious, but its this kind of stuff that really matters. Whenever I read or hear about how the Rwandans have dealt with their recent history, I feel humbled. Hope you continue to have a fantastic trip.... looking forward to seeing you both next year. Great Pics! Some of your pics are National Geographic quality - good job. I loved the Tawny Eagle one (last one) and also the lioness. Amazing you got so close to them - and to see the distressed elephant mother. Wow.
Everything is so run-down... It is shocking (although not surprising) to see how all infrastructure in all of Africa you have visited is completely run-down and looking terrible... side-by-side with great natural landscapes are these towns and cities and roads that looked so depressing. I know that these are very poor countries indeed, but I reckon corruption is more the cause for the state of affairs rather than lack of money.
So many elephants! Hey guys,
Just finally finding the time to get up-to-date with your fantastic blog. I can't believe how many elephants you've seen, and how close they've been to you at campsites. So cool. They are amazing. I will update your Google Earth Map this weekend with all the new sites - so you can expect a new one coming next week. Keep posting :-)
just chat Hi you two, Looks like you are having a ball out there. Don't think I could stand all that mud and bugs too fond of my creature comforts (and I don't include bugs in that) The pictures are fantastic. Look after yourselves, my two favourite people in the whole world. Lots of love

thrilling pics Good to hear something from you again. The gorilla pics and story are thrilling. It is refreshing to hear that at least in this park their numbers are on the rise - unlike in Virunga, Congo, where rebels or who knows who seems to have taken it against these creatures and produced horrifying murders. Anyways, thanks for giving us these pics. I loved them. Take care, Maria
After having proper jobs for a while we've decided to jack it all in and see some of Africa! We hope you enjoy keeping up with our travels - that is, if we can find the internet cafés to keep up the journals! Happy reading...... full info
