Today we have tickets to visit Jurong Bird Park. This is part of the

multi ticket that we bought including the Zoo

The park is on the western coast of Singapore island, so it took us a
while to get there by metro and bus, but the S$4.60 each way was good value for
the distance we had travelled.

Once there, we thought initially we may have made a big mistake, as
the first attractions of the penguins was heaving with people. It is Sunday and
everyone seems to have made a beeline here.

Fortunately, we soon managed to shake off most of the people and
enjoyed a solo tram ride around the park whilst we familiarised ourselves with
the layout.

After our circuit on the tram, we then took the same circuit on foot
so that we could get really close up to all the animals.

The park is really well laid out so that you do not miss one group of
animals whilst you are looking at another. We got to see some really great
birds.

After a quick bite to eat at one of the local eateries, we made our
journey back to the hotel. It did not seem to take so long to get back. It was
a great time to people watch.

We are on the move again tomorrow, so this afternoon we packed all our

bags again ready for moving.
