Well, I am back traveling on my own as Tamar headed back to Israel. I took the overnight bus to Hue which left Hanoi at 6pm and arrived in Hue at 6am. Ugh.... This lady in a small boat floats among the greenery at Lake Tinh Tam found inside the walls and moated area in Central Hue which also houses the Citadel.

Possibly Hue’s most recognizable landmark, this pagoda contains numerous living and working buildings for its resident monks, a bell tower and a seven-tiered monument in front.

Kolin and Simon come to the DMZ bar wearing the same shirt of the Vietnamse flag. TOURISTS!!! The one saving point is that they are both very good pool players.

I bump into two Finnish girls I had met in Halong Bay (they are bicycling from Hanoi to Saigon) and an American from Boston/NY as we jump into cyclos to take us home from the DMZ cafe.

I hired a boat to take me up the river to the King's Tumbs. Along the way, a boat passes with the Vietnames flag from the Citadel waving in the background.

Fishing boats and the like pass us as we head towards the tombs.

The final resting-place of this Nguyen Dynasty emperor and scholar was built before his death. A lake, pavilion and theatre still exist on the grounds.
