Total disastrous day ! Thanks Vietnam airlines!

Today was a disaster! Waking up at 5.45 to find our flight had been cancelled ! Nightmare!

Rang reception, changed cab time for an hour later and set off to the airport at 7.45 just in case as didn’t trust the email!

Moved onto the 11.30 flight but as I had checked us in to the original flight that caused all sorts of issues and we were beginning to think we wouldn’t get on the flight . Waited and waited at check in , my case went through but it seemed the other couldn’t .. an hour later the second case went through … flight then delayed but we eventually landed at ho chi min at 1.40 having circled the airport for some time ! ( im saying nothing about the Daniels curse!)

The driver was waiting luckily but then the next ridiculous journey began ! Omg the traffic … we eventually pulled in to cat tien national park at 6.30!! Seems we had to get a ferry over to our accommodation…. Who knew!!

Receptionist less than helpful in telling us where our accommodation was. Luckily a restaurant on site, necessary beers consumed

Big day tomorrow and marking it with a 4am start to find wild gibbons!

Here’s hoping tomorrow is a day to remember !!
