We’re literally up in Vietnams clouds here in Sapa. The high altitudes gives us cold mornings and evenings with surrounding white cloud mists; it’s very eerie in the dark. Sapa is known for its remote sculptured rice terraces that go on for as far as you can see. It looks incredible. We trekked across the paddy fields through three small traditional villages with some gorgeous local Vietnamese women who helped us along the way. The lack of Vietnamese street food the only downside; we’ve been reduced to western food which actually isn’t all bad after a rice and noodle diet for weeks. Sapa is a perfect location for walking, site seeing and having cheap beer along the way with travellers.
