Hi readers We had another early start today but this was a private tour with just the 4 of us, a guide and a driver. We learnt many things from this young man about the life he and his family have been through since the war of Vietnam ended. As we walked around the area we started hearing the loud firing of real guns. The firing range was part of this area and they were firing AK 47 and were very loud

Some of the old army vehicles tires were collected and used to make footwear as at the peak there was up to 15,000people living in the tunnels. Approx 10,000 were killed

The way they cut the tires and designed the sandal meant that they covered their own foot print tracks and confused the army when they came looking for them
