Getting toured around Ho Chi Minh.
Me and the man embarked on a little Asian adventure for 2 weeks to vietnam! I love Asia, especially the food and I had been told that Vietnam was a amazing, so I had to go. We started in Ho Chi Minh city and travelled up the coast to MuiNe, Nha Trang then Hoi An. Really glad how we did it, as we felt it got better as we went. Ho Chi Minh had such a great buzz, we stayed so central in district 1 so were right in the heart of it all. On the first day we did a cycle tour to most of the cities attractions which was great fun. It did really remind me of Bangkok. Then there was a great wee street round the corner from our guest house where there were stools on the street and drinks were about 20pence, perfect! Great little hotspot for fellow travellers. Then after couple days here, we embarked of a 5 hour bus journey to Mui Ne. Here was the ultimate chill place, literally spent 3 days on beach, cycling, massage on the beach and ate fresh fish every day. Felt so healthy and revived, really needed it. Full

of Russians though which was quite random. Was about 30degrees and the Russian ladies would be out with jeans, leather jacket and a vodka in hand... standard. After revitalising ourselves here we headed another 5 hours bus journey to Nha Trang. Really popular place for tourists here, did have such a different vibe then where we had just been. Highlight was finding a restaurant called Lanterns, where the food and staff were amazing! They work with the local community and hire girls from nearby villages, lovely place. Was quite glad to leave Nha Trang though just didn't really feel like we were in Vietnam. Then our last venture was 10 hour night bus to Hoi An, which was horrific, bus driver was mental! I was so excited though for Hoi An as from what I'd researched a little i just knew that I would love it there. And I was right. Such a gorgeous little place - the old town has a slight european feel to it, then the beach is a cycle ride away - all you could ever want in one place. Felt like we were in Vietnam now, getting to cycle by the rice fields and on the last day we helped some of the locals fishing on the beach by pulling in a massive net from the sea. Was hard graft! Finishing at Hoi An was fantastic, its such a magical place! Really wish we could have continued on North to Hanoi and Halong Bay. Just need to come back again. Great experience.
