Hey - we arrived safely in Ho Chi Minh City after a whopping 16 hours flying ... and a couple of hours just waiting to fly! Spent the first couple of days there in the sunshine, sipping expensive cocktails in 5 star bars ... 4 quid a pop - i know how to treat me missus!!

We are now in Hoi An, arriving yesterday and have a lovely hotel - the town has recently flooded and the water reached waist high! ... luckily this was before we got here ... altho the way it's going i think we may reach that again!!

It's really wierd - cos we are in sitting here in shorts (Esther has got her Tesco pacamac on !!) and it's lashing down ... all the locals tell us it's cold ... they have not been to manchester! Esther is fully aclimatised... probably cos it's chucking it down. We did go to the beah today tho - pretty empty ... in fact totally empty apart from us ... strange that?! As there was no-one else there we had to buy all the nick-nacks from the locals as we felt bad for them ... we got totally fleeced ... but hey!

Good news tho ... the most i have paid for a beer is about 30p ... and we have had some amazing food ... lunch just cost us about a fiver ... and we had starters! ... are you supposed to have starters for lunch? ... we will be getting the wedding clothes let out when we get back i think!

Anyway better go ... i need to top up my beer levels ... and Esther needs a manicure...
