One very rainy July morning

Summer in Vietnam is hot, humid with random downpours.

The morning of July 13, I woke to the noise of heavy rain at about 6am. I was so excited, I went out to watch it and was amused for the next 6 hours.

The rain was so heavy and constant. A few of the shop fronts on our street had water going in - we're very lucky our Hotel doors are up 3 stairs.

Here are some of my favorite photos of the day - all taken on the dry top step of Hanoi Rendezvous Hotel on 31 Hang Dieu Street.
