The sign "Bán đèn trời" means this place is selling the lanterns, which we place candle inside and let them fly up to the sky at night.

These shops were open before the Mid-Autumn Festival to sell the moon cakes.

This is the only place in Hanoi where the laterns, toys, drums, lion heads, masks etc., are sold before and during the Mid-Autumn Festival. There are some vendors going along Hanoi's streets and selling star shaped lanterns.

A musical stage is set up in front of Đồng Xuân market in Hanoi's Old Quarter. On evening 13 September, there is musical performance by the children.

"Bánh dẻo" (white cake) and "Bánh nướng" (brown cake) are the two types of moon cakes that we eat during the festival. The cakes are filled with sweet and salty mixture inside them.

So many people during the festival time. They go to buy the lanterns, toys etc.

"Đèn kéo quân" or "Đèn cù" is the latern, which spins around when a candle is placed inside it and we can view the pictures in the light.

My company presents me a box of "Bánh nướng" (brown moon cake). These cakes are made by a 5 star hotel, so often a box consists of 8 small cakes. The mixture inside the cakes is eggs and bean or sweet potato.
