5 May to 7 May 2019 - I travelled to Sapa on a 3-day trip for the purpose of visiting the Fansipan summit. From Fansipan cable car station I had to walk up 80 steps to funicular station. I am going to take the funicular to the summit. The flag tower is the summit.

This is the place where tourists take a train, then cable car to Fansipan summit.

How it's changed!
Sapa certainly has changed a lot since I was there 10 years ago but, as Hanoi girl says, it's the surrounding countryside and people that make it a great place to visit. I've never even tried the trip to Fansipan because I knew it was a difficult climb, but perhaps I'll have a go now that it is so much easier. I love the photos.
