Today we had the kayak trip which Lyndsey had been wanting to do for some time. We hired a boat for the day at Halong Bay, which came complete with two kayaks, a skipper, a cook and lunch. It was a very reasonable price, and we had the boat to ourselves. After a two hour journey, we arrived at the first stop. It was pretty cold, as it's winter here. The temperature is like the UK in about late Febuary, chilly and with a nip in the air. When we arrived, the skipper hopped in a kayak and paddled off towards a cave. He returned, making the international mime for "Nay luck, the tide's too high". Ss we hung about until we were given the go ahead. Suitably lfe-jacketed, we paddled off towards the cave. It
