After I was back home from Hà Giang, I booked another tour to the far north (Cao Bằng province), but the tour was cancelled a couple of days before the trip. We just arrived at Minh Châu port in the north of the island by this speed boat and we were going to the beach by tuk tuk.

The northernmost point of the island is the port where we reached by speed boat. On the right side there are great beaches. This is the map of Minh Châu commune. I also went south to Quan Lạn commune. Total length from north to south of the island is 16kim.

There were squid, oysters, prawns, pork and sweet potatoes. Vegetables and fish were put onto the table later.

The resort was invested by a Vietnamese man who is director of a travel company in Hanoi. He went to the island in 2002 for the first survey.

The white speed boat was ours and we were going to Quan Lạn island from Cái Rồng port in Vân Đồn district.

Tuk tuk is the major means of transport on the island. It can carry 10 people on a ride. There are only a few mini buses.

This area is for swimming as there are no rocks.

So quite place is'nt it !
Hello back again, During holidays , the place was not overcrowded isn't it . So peaceful and quiet that is what like most. As noticed before, RedRiver is so photogenic isn't she!!
