DAY 6 NINH BINH / OVERNIGHT TRAIN TO HUE

Today was a terrific bike touring day covering a 53 km cycle around the raised village paths that act as a levee bank against the vast amount of water harnessed into smaller levees for rice paddies & carp fishing & other aquatic activities.

We then returned by bus to our hotel to rest, freshen up, have dinner before transferring to the train station for a 12 hour overnight journey to Hue. The carriages have four berth sleeping compartments which were clean but fairly basic but still probably the best way to cover the 600kms to Hue.
