......... Why did I return to a place I didn't like the first time I was here? Two reasons, one I believe in second chances and two, I knew it would be easy to get a short contract here to get back to my ultimate goal....Latin America again.......Eventually, if nothing else comes up to sidetrack me lol I'm in a much different location than last year, but still the same shitty food options sam... About to get better!
So sorry for the bad year--surely, Latin America will be more to your liking. And fabulous Oaxaca--what a great place to start! Around 8:30 at night, ladies on street corners sell delicious tamales from their big, steaming pots. Mexico is one big taste sensation! Best wishes finding a school you enjoy!

Philosophy
We agree, if you don't like your situation change it and you are very good at that. I'm always amazed by people at work who are miserable year after year and make no effort to make a change. Senseless really. Good luck with your job search.

Hey guys!!
Thanks so much again for reading and commenting! yea its been a while since I last updated, crazy busy since I'm the only foreign teacher now...7 day work weeks are killer. Thanks for the well wishes also. I just got an interview set up for tomorrow via skype for Laos, I'm only considering it bc the money is good and I can save a ton for a huge yr long trip, plus I haven't been there so we will see I guess....

Broken arms
Hi Greg, thanks for asking. I'm fine though I'm healing from a couple of broken arms from a cow pushing me over a cliff. Still in Arequipa, thank goodness--would be a little tricky traveling like this. I've heard that Laos is much more relaxed than Vietnam, so hope your new job works out well!

slow moving
While my ultimate destination is home in California, that will probably take a few years. For now, hoping for a six-month visa for another 6 here in Peru, then back to Bolivia for three, then circling round Peru, Ecuador and Columbia for a year or two, then up further. As usual, I clueless about the particulars, but not in a rush to return to the expensive US. Reading blogs of Asia, I must admit I'm a bit tempted to head over there after I get home. Thanks for asking and good luck with Laos!
