Howdy.

These pictures are from my camera so there are only a few. They go from the Mekong Delta, Vietnam; to Phu Quoc Island Vietnam; to Phnom Penh, Cambodia; to Kampot, Cambodia; to Siem Reap, Cambodia; to the last one of some fruit in Bangkok.

There will be heaps more photos from Meg's camera and you'll probably see the same sequence of places with different and better pics.

ENJOY

These bridges were all over the place to get from a village on one side to the other. They cross small branches of the Mekong.

The fishermen set these up right by the villages so they can just lower them and then come back a while later to get little shrimps and maybe a few fish.

The Vietnamese use the Mekong for just about everything; this guy is bathing or setting up some fish nets

The Vietnamese women on Phu Quoc loved this Swdish baby. Maybe because at 1.5 years old it was the same size as their 5 year olds. The parents were happy to pass it off for a few.

All the following pics are from Cambodia. This one is from Phnom Penh, the capital.

these Cambodians were visiting the mall for the first time and couldn't figure out the escalator. It made for good people watching but is understandable considering they had to pretty much start over as a country after losing 1/3 of their population (including just about everyone with an education). They have come a long way in the 30 years since the Khmer Rouge stopped killing everyone.

In Siem Reap the Khmer Rouge converted this high school to there interrogation prison. Most people came here before they were taken to the killing fields to be beaten to death so as not to waste a bullet by shooting them. We'll spare you the pictures of the rooms full of fractured skulls.

getting my first strait blade shave in Kampot, Cambodia. It was quite comfortable and the closest cleanest shave i've ever had. The down side was it cost nearly $.25 cents.

These poor guys were the ones Meg paid to carry her bags and souvenirs from from Cambodia to Thailand. Usually i have to do it by myself.
