Tea Tasting on the way to Dalat
We left Ho Chi Min on sunday morning and it was going to be very hot again, we travelled a long way up in the hills 1200 meters above sea level to Dalat a town settled by the french in the 1800s It took us all day and we did not arrive until 5pm, we only had a couple of stops along the way for lunch and at a Tea shop to sample their tea and coffee in those very tiny cups. It is a beautiful city with lots of lovely buildings it is much cooler up here which is a relief after the humidity we have been in since we arrived in Vietnam, did I say cooler today we went to look around Dalat and it got very hot, glad I changed out of the jeans and into the shorts!!We firstwent to the Cable Car and had a ride on that it was very high and the views were amazing, if we had to pay it was only 35,000 dong (under $2.50 AUD) and then on to a Palace of the Kingfrom the 1930's on. We had to cover our shoes with these large material things with elastic around the

top it was interesting and there were lovely gardens. After that we went to the Crazy house and it sure was crazy it went off in all directions and was very strange the lady who designed it and lives there was walking aroung in a long red dress!!!!!! then we went to an Embroidery place where they did the most beautiful embroidery with 1 strand of embroidery thread, and the things they embroidered take around 6 months for not a very big piece. They were absolutely beautiful and they had to look the same on the back as on the front, you could not tell the difference. In the afternoon we went to some Gardens and then to the Beer Bottle and Ceramic Pagoda, it is all made of pieces of Beer bottle and broken pieces of ceramics, you would not believe how fantastic it looked. Tomorrow we leave here to go to Na Trang on the way we will visit a waterfall, more about that after we go there.
