Des trying to get in to the very small tunnel
Well here we are in Ho Chi Min City WOW! what a busy place, and sooooo many motor cycles and motor scooters, we have managed to cross the road, you just have to keep walking and hold your breath,
It is very humid, and thankfully and bit overcast which helps,
Yesterday we went to the CuChi Tunnels and Des tried to get down a very small one, he reckons he was only stopped by his walet, but he would have had to be about 10 sizes smaller!!!
It was very interesting being there Des went down the tunnel that has been enlarged quite a few times so as us foreigners can fit into it. I declined as I would not have been able to handle it.
In the afternoon we went to the Bin Than Market it was very very busy and a lot of the isles were so narrow that you could hardly fit down them and the shopkeepers would not let you get through they just wanted to stop you to make you buy their wares. Des went back to the hotel early and I stayed for about 3/4 hour after him but it was just toooo hot in

The enlarged tunnel
there I didn't buy much but it was interesting, and only about 10 mins walk back to the hotel. In the night time we went back, when the market closes at 6pm a street market opens up and that was great sooo much more room to move about.
Today we went to the Meekong Delta for a day trip, it was great, 2 hours bus trip from Ho Chi Min, and then 3 different boats, we went to the Coconut Candy place and then a great lunch just nearby, we also had our photo taken with a very large Python!!!!! The shopping was great where the bus stoped to drop us off when we arrived only a few stalls, but very good prices.
On the way home 4 of us got of the bus at the Bin Thay market, were not very happy with it, could not find much to buy. we got a taxi back to the hotel which took about 25 mins, and cost 80,000 dong, sounds a lot but it is about $5.50 australian, so cheep.
Found some D.V.D.'s to buy tonight just over the road from the hotel.
Tomorrow morning we are leaving at 8.30 am
