Rice progressing well

Pad comes for Jai again this morning, a bit later than usual as it is only the 2 of them working today. They start to tie up the cut rice in small bundles that need to be carried back to the campsite where a large net has been staked to the ground in preparation. When this is finished, hopefully only a few days, the threshing machine can be booked.
I go and visit George mid-morning as it is ages since I wet to his place. Wife Wan isnt well at all and has spent another night at the hospital over the weekend.
Plenty more reading back at the house before George reciprocates with a visit mid afternoon.
I go to the farm about 15:00 to find 2 very tired people dragging themselves around the paddies. I cut a few more trees before we all call it a day about 16:00.
Have had no mains water again all day but upon our return I find a small trickle just about strong enough for the hosepipe to give the thirsty garden a drink.
