Got bus from Krabi Town to Ao Nam Mao (port) then boat to Hat Rai Leh East (Railay) which cost 130 baht. Checked into Ya Ya Resort 375 baht a night. Ate in Ya Ya's restaurant, had whole Red Snapper, mixed kebab (chicken, beef & barracuda) with 2 jacket potatoes for 360 baht. Went to Last bar which had live band and free pool, most waiters were lady boys!

Weather not very good, cloudy with heavey showers. Went to Last bar for a few games of pool then to Diamond Cave (limestone formations and golden stone waterfall). On the way back from the caves we saw wild monkeys coming down the mountain. On the evening went to Bambu Bar as they had fire show and Thai boxing. Thai boxing was fake but good banter.

Went rock climbing from 9 until 6. We done 3 climbs in morning then broke for lunch. Me, Dan and Kieran decided to go to lagoon durling lunch which involved more rock climbing but with no ropes! We were tired after but had to go and do another 3 climbs in the afternoon.
I really enjoyed the rock climbing, we were really involved and looking after each other. I went up and Dan supervised then we swapped over. I completed every climb without falling once. To finish the day we had to hike through a cave in the dark and then abseil down the cliff face. The guy who took us rock climbing called us mate but it sounded like mische it was funny, we have adopted the word. Went Last bar on evening, had few big Changs and a smoke. Met couple from Bromley, James and Vicky. Vicky's dad has stone mason firm. All the bars on Railay sell weed and most play reggae music. Ended up in Reggae bar playing the drums!

BBQ was good, Chicken, Beef kebabs, Seabass and Corn on the Cob. Couple of lads, Danny and Scott from Bath, who advised party at Stone bar so I ended up with them. Met some Scandinavian girls. Music was
good and loud, remided me of the bars in Goa.

Got Long Tail Boat to Ferry then onto Ko Lanta. Ko Lanta is really nice and not commercial. Staying on west coast where the beaches are at a place called Lanta Green Gardens Resort 500 baht between me, Dan and Sam, very quiet so looking forward to relaxing. Chilled out on beach as tired. Hired some bikes and found gym so will go tomorrow. Went to Sanctuary Resort for dinner. It is quite hard to find out information with our accents and the locals lack of english.

Each morning we have a cockrel waking us up about 5am. Done some sightseeing as had the bikes. Went to waterfalls which had some water, bonus! My bike kept cutting out and had to jump start a few times. Continued south to Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 100 baht entrance fee, I was not impressed with the charge. There was wild monkeys roaming around, an amazing beach (Laem Thanot) and panoramic views from light house which was on its last legs. Went to Muay Thai Gym before evening meal (only second times in
18 days!). As we had bikes we tried to find a restaurant in Lonely Planet called Khoa Yai Restaurant but didn't manage to find it. We ended up on other side of island with nothing open, no lights on road and no gasoline, my arse did go as bike kept juddering and cutting out. There must be a god as we made it back to accommodation. Had Seafood Hot Pan (sizzler) for 100 baht which was very tasty.

Its like a farm where we are staying, a goose attacked me this morning. Done some more sightseeing as had bikes for another day. Went to see the old town, all wooden buildings. We drove past restaurant we were looking for the previous night and reason we did not find was because it was closed when we looking for it in the dark. Nice views from old town, you can see other islands. Went gym again today and took Dan. A bit of confussion so we only paid for one of us. Had 2 meals this evening as extremely hungry and portion no where near mothers! Going Phi Phi tomorrow on 8:00am ferry. Went to bar next
to our accommodation and very busy with live music, a lot of Canadians.
