We've finally got our tickets! After weeks of checking consolidator web sites every day we found a good deal on a ticket to Bangkok. We fly Asiana through Seoul. We have a 12+ hour layover, arriving at 6 am and leaving for Bangkok at 8:30 pm. We have heard that Seoul is a very happening city so we are looking forward to stretching our legs and checking out the city. The only problem is that it is colder in Seoul than it is in Chicago, highs in the low 30's F. This is a warm weather trip and we are not bringing any cold weather clothing. I'm sure we'll work something out.

We arrive in Bangkok at 12:20 am. We are going to stay in an apartment for a week to start with. We are thinking we will kind of base ourselves in Bangkok. cook a little, spread out, hit the gym and relax in a familiar place. Last year we didn't take enough down time during our trip. Every few days we were off to a new place. This year we have vowed to slow down evey so often.

So that's our deal. I'll try to update this thing every few weeks so know what we are up to. Keep your eyes peeled for updates. I attached a couple of pics from past trips just to see how they would look.
