I flew into Bangkok and arrived at the Suvarnabhumi airport around 11:15pm. (this is a relatively new airport. Last time in 2009 we flew into Don Meuang airport) . By the time I cleared customs, got a Taxi and made to downtown Bangkok, it was just after 1am. No worries. It was Bangkok and also Halloween. Quite a few people dressed up as the zombies devils or something sinister. Stayed at the Aloft in Sukhumvit. Great hotel. Safe, Comfortable, Convenient, and Quiet. Sukhumvit is always rocking at night. Street food at 1:30am, no problem.
