Bangkok to Vientiane Laos

I woke up had a workout, great breakfast and headed to the airport. The Aloft breakfast was great. The 1 hour ride from the airport was replaced with a 23 minute ride back. At high speed. Definitely pay the fixed rate rather than the meter if you want to get there quickly. Note to self. I booked at flight through the Thai Airways website but I guess beware they placed me on a subcarrier Thai Smile. (not eligible for lounge access) All good. Plenty to do in the new airport. Also remember get your passport photos for Laos at the Bangkok airport (6 photos for 200B) . Quick and easy.
