This was an amazing experience. We went to an animal sanctuary and stroked Tigers with our own hands!

First we stopped off to see the bridge over the river Kwai- a famous bridge where thousands of WWII prisoners died as Japanese troops tried to build their railway through the country. Need to watch the film now.

After that we went on to the sanctuary or 'tiger temple' where you take it in turns to go and stroke the tigers! They're all sleepy in a little hot canyon and they've been eating all morning so they're not up for munching you! Instead they just laze around and let silly farangs like us come and pet them. They're just the same as normal cats- but bigger! They feel the same and move the same- it makes you want to pick them up and tickle them and stuff like you do with little ones. The guides don't like that though.
