I finally feel like we're in the groove of travelling now, at first i think the jet lag and the realization of hostels and busses and foreign language for the next year was a strange mix, especially decompressing on khoa san rd. So when the idea of clean clear air with himilayan mts as a backdrop and a brand new culture was just a ticket away we booked in and immediatly felt refreshed. It will definately be a challenge, considering bobby and i have never been on a hike together before, i cant even remember the last time actually, the main thing is trekking in nepal..........might as well start with the most hardcore terrain and splash a little altitude sickness in there hey!! I am looking forward to being stretched and pulled and learning and seeing totally new things ( i also heard the shopping was amazing! silver and jems, and stories of a pashmina so fine its called a "ring shawl " b/c it can slip through a finger ring !!!!!!)

The last four days we spent in a beach town called Hua Hin, it was the perfect little getaway before our trip. we had seafood so fresh we saw the boats out at night and back in the morning. Also, talk about meant to be, the first place we arrived at to have a post bustrip beer was at a place called coconuts, and the owner was married to a thai women and originally from burnaby. ALSO lived in nepal for 10 years, so he was just plucked from heaven and plopped into our lap. He filled us in with tonnes of stories and gave us plenty of hook ups and friends of his to talk to when we get there. YAY

i bought overpriced pineapple, mangos and roasty peanuts from this shiny lady everyday. her angle was crafty, "so heavy so heavy" referring to her basket, then she'd put it down....

bobby took this from our balcony, its a house for spirits to live. daily the people put offerings of garlands, pink fanta, bananas and rice or some food.

Honestly... I don't miss you guys yet (just joking)... but I feel privelleged (spelt wrong) to be seperate from CRACKbook. You guys look like you are LOVIN it...which is the most important thing! I also skimmed the pictures, and I noticed (kim) the head band! and i was like...AWW YEA! sister hood of the travelling head band....anyways lovers, I'm heading to India in January until April...i will keep you both posted on that.
