Bob here.

After our 22 hour flight from Seattle to Bangkok, we caught a cab to the infamous Khao San Road, a backpackers mecca in northern Bangkok. This place is crazy. It is a small area of town that caters only to travelers with small budgets. There are a few hundred guest houses, restaruants, travel agencies, shops, and bars. So we hung out for a few days and shopped and relaxed. We bought some plane tickets to Nepal, visited a cool flower market, got rediculous haircuts, and breathed in more tuk tuk exhaust than we wanted to.

So we took a bus three hours south to Hua Hin, a little town with a decent beach, and we're going to hang out here for a few days before our plane leaves to Nepal.
