Stay in Ko Samui or Ko Phangan for FMP

Hi guys

Just wanted to gauage poeple's opinions on whether to stay on Samui of Phangan for the full moon party?

Also, can people recommend any accomodation on either island? Lively, clean, not to cheap and shabby. Don't mind spending a bit on staying there. Must be easy to get to the party.. Was thinkin of some sort of beach side accomodation, with a pool, nice view etc.
