Sadly, today was our last day 😞

On Thursday we wandered down to have a look at the Kata Beach Resort and the Kata Palm Resort. We were already making plans to come back and trying to find somewhere to stay.

While we throughly enjoyed Club Med, it is not really good value due to the incredibly cheap price of eating out in Phuket. We paid a premium price to stay at Club Med, which was obviously all inclusive. However, we figured out that we could stay in much, much better accommodation than Club Med offered and eat out and buy our own drinks for a lot less money.

Both of these resorts were lovely, with Kata Beach the better due to its proximity to the
beach. If you were there in the off season though, Kata Palm would be great, particularly the pool access rooms.

On our last night we hired a car and driver to take us to Promthep Cape for drinks at sunset. It was quite spectacular, well worth a look. We spent quite a long time there having very cheap drinks - two scotch and cokes and two cokes for well under $10.00 AUD - and enjoying an amazing sunset from the tip of Phuket Island.

Goodbye Phuket - we shall return.
