Sorry its been so long we've been very busy! So got back to kohsan road and stuggled to find a place due to the flooding in the island and many people returning to bangkok. we eventually found a pretty decent place called my house guest house and ended up staying there for four nights. we then made a bold decision to risk going down to the islands-despite being told that they were still flooded... we took a night bus that was meant to leave kohsan road at 6 but in 'thai time' works differently and we didnt leave till 8.15. we then travelled untill midnight where we had a quick pit stop and when we got back on we were almost forced to sleep. all lights were turned off, curtains were drawn and seats pushed back by one of the staff-everything went fine until we arived in no mans land at 7 in the morning only to find everyones bags had been searched throughout the night. luckily we were aware of this happening and had kept all our valuables on us! unfortuneately for one man he had a lot of money stolen and he was not happy to say the least!! he even tried to stop the bus from leaving by standing infront of it-but they would have ploughed him down if he hadn't moved. we then got transfered to another travel company where they asked us to pay another 250thb each due to 'flooding problems' when the roads seemed perfectly fine to us. we ended up paying that just so we could get to where we wanted to be which was phuket! finally we arrived and got a taxi to patong. had a really lovely place to stay at-first room with a fridge and air-con also very close to the beach. very crazy place to be,especially at night! ali had a lovely incident with a ladyboy/woman but we'll let him tell that story! after a few days in patong we booked a boat to phi phi which is the most beautiful island! we had a lovely place to stay-in a wooden bungalow with a hammock and terrace and just to top it off we had a pool with a bar attached to the side 😊 had some lovely days lounging on the beach and by the pool and lots of drinking at night watching fire dances and all sorts of games. we were lucky enough to be there for song kran-their new year and water festival. got absolutely soaked!! but it was a right laugh. me and alex have left ali as he's gone to ko pangyan for the full moon party. we're in nai yang one of the northern beaches and we're flying to singapore tomorrow morning. keep you updated xxx
