Down to brekkie - what a feed, filled up till overflow - well just about anyway. Warren tried to do his best to clean everything up - but alas, too much food. A bit dehydrated today so lots of fruit juice went down as well. Today is Warrens first trip to the dentist 10am. We got there - late. Tuk tuk driver didn’t have a clue as to where he was going, and we found that with all of them. We found it, thanks to a map I had printed out before we came. We all decided to wait at the dentist (it had good air-conditioning, so we weren’t moving). After about and hour or so, he resurfaced with a quote for the work that needs doing. It turns out that he needed a lot more than first anticipated - oh well their goes retirement!!! The work that he had had done before we left NZ was shit - he still had an infection up into a tooth that had a root canal done a couple of years ago and then surgery on it 6 weeks ago for infection. It appears that his dentist just hasn’t done the necessary follow-ups after such dental work. Anyway, more about that later.
Murv and Gaylene, had their first experience at the hands of the massage people - results…………….. gotta do it again, and again, and maybe well…….again.
Back to the dentist.
They called in a specialist and Warren had to go back at 7pm to have the root canal done again and clean up the infection. Once again we were late - bloody tuk tuk driver dropped us at the wrong end of town. Next time we will hire a bike. Dropped Warren at the dentist and the rest of us went shopping. Murv got a couple of teashirts, one that reads “No I don’t want a f..@#g suit, massage or tuk tuk thank you very much” and another that says “Good Guy goes to heaven, Bad Guy goes to Patong” - Murv must be a bad guy - he went to Patong.
Back to the dentist…..The workmanship is absolutely top notch and they are very particular about making sure they are getting everything. They take xrays as they go, check and double check.
We were a bit concerned because the last time he had this tooth worked on, he was in agony for days.
Anyway picked him up and headed back home.
