We have just spent three days on Ko Tao island. This is a small island off the South East coast of Thailand that is known for scuba diving and snorkelling. We took a high speed catamaran. This was quite the rough ride. They actually have a designated staff member walking the aisle, distributing bags and toilet paper for seasickness!

We found a little bungalow on a beautiful bay called Shark Bay. It has this name for a reason. One morning we saw about ten different baby black tipped sharks and small baracudas right in the water below our balcony! There were not many people there, as it is low season here. One day we rented mountain bikes and checked out another bay. The next day we did a snorkelling boat trip for the day. This was amazing! So many different tropical fish and sea life. Small electric blue fish, yellow striped fish, etc.. It was neat to see the coral as well. The boat also stopped at a nearby island that is actually three islands linked by two long sand beaches. Our pictures don't do it justice.

We arrived on Ko Phangan island today. It has rained pretty much all day! We are hoping for some sun here before the Full Moon Party on Friday!

We are starting to crave certain foods from home, like spagetti, grilled cheese sandwiches, steak. You can get some "Western" food here but it is never the same! Also, we are looking forward to New Zealand and having a stable abode for more than a few days!

Hi Owen!
Owen, we did swim with the baby sharks, some of our friends saw the sharks while we were snorkelling. We only saw them from our balcony. We saw lots of fish that were bright-colored like Nemo!
